Wibe Group has expanded its range of cable management solutions with the Mita Flex FRP/GRP cable management system
Wibe Group has expanded its range of cable routing solutions Mita Flex with FRP/GRP cable tray system, which is specially designed for use in harsh and corrosive environments. It is a modern and reliable solution that combines high mechanical resistance, fire safety and installation flexibility into one complete system.
Designed for the high demands of industry and infrastructure
Mita Flex cable trays are made made of glass fiber reinforced polymer (FRP/GRP) – materjalist, mis ei korrodeeru, on elektriliselt mittekonduktiivne ning sobib ideaalselt kasutamiseks keskkondades, kus niiskus, kemikaalid, soolane õhk või saaste muudavad metalllahendused ebaotstarbekaks.
The system is suitable for use in many areas, including:
on infrastructure objects (tunnels, bridges, technical facilities)
in railway and public transport facilities
in energy, including wind and marine applications
in the chemical industry and water treatment
in data centers and industrial buildings
A reliable solution also in railway infrastructure
The railway sector places strict demands on cable trays in terms of fire safety, smoke and emission performance, vibration resistance and long-term reliability. Wibe Group's FRP/GRP solutions have proven themselves in these conditions thanks to their durability and very low maintenance requirements.
Mita Flex cable management systems are available with four different resin types, which allow the solution to be precisely tailored to environmental and safety requirements:
- Polyester Class 1 (PC1) – the most widely used resin, with good UV and corrosion resistance, meets fire and smoke requirements (BS476 and ASTM E84).
- Vinylester (VE) – resin with maximum chemical and corrosion resistance, especially suitable for marine applications and the chemical industry.
- Acrylic (AC) – resin with low flame, smoke and toxicity, especially suitable for tunnels, public transport and closed infrastructure facilities.
- Antistatic polyester (AS) – carbon-enriched resin that provides antistatic properties and is suitable for explosive environments (requires grounding).
This wide range of resins makes Mita Flex a flexible and safe solution for both open and closed infrastructure applications.
Flexible and modular system
Mita Flex's product portfolio includes FRP/GRP cable ladders, cable trays and MultiFlex modular support system. MultiFlex allows precise adjustment of both heights and angles and simplifies installation even in complex projects. The system is designed with the principle of requiring a minimum of components but a maximum of installation options. The lightweight yet strong material makes both transportation and installation significantly easier compared to traditional metal solutions.
Compliance with international standards
Mita Flex cable management systems comply with important international standards, including: IEC 61537 ja NEMA FG‑1, and are tested for mechanical load capacity, fire safety and electrical insulation. The systems are designed for long-term use in projects where safety and reliability are critical.
